3D BIM model of prefabricated structural components

For Architects & Engineers

Specify Prefab With Confidence

NCC provides BIM coordination, detailed shop drawings, and technical documentation architects and engineers need to confidently specify prefabricated structural systems on multi-family and commercial projects.

Design & Modeling Support

How NCC integrates with your design and documentation workflow.

BIM Coordination

Our design team models every component in 3D BIM, enabling seamless coordination with your structural and architectural models. Clash detection happens in the model, not on the job site.

Design Flexibility

Prefabricated panels accommodate a wide range of architectural designs — custom spans, load ratings, openings, and configurations. We are not limited to standard dimensions. 100% of what we do is custom, designed to the engineer's specifications.

Design to Engineer's Specifications

NCC designs panels to the project engineer's specifications. We provide detailed shop drawings and BIM models — the project's structural engineer of record handles all engineering and calculations.

Shop Drawing Production

Detailed shop drawings for every panel — including dimensions, fastener schedules, hardware, and installation sequences — produced from our BIM models for your review and approval.

Code Compliance

The project's 3rd-party engineer handles all engineering before it reaches NCC. We design our panels to those specifications, ensuring compliance with IBC, IRC, and California Building Code requirements including project-specific seismic and load requirements.

Multi-Trade Coordination

Our BIM models coordinate with MEP layouts, allowing architects and engineers to identify conflicts early and maintain design intent through the prefabrication process.

Specification Support

Technical documentation to support your design decisions.

Our technical specifications package gives architects and engineers the data they need to specify NCC prefabricated components with confidence. Available resources include:

  • Floor cassette span tables and load ratings
  • Wall panel configurations and sheathing options
  • Connection details and fastener schedules
  • Typical section details for multi-story wood framing
  • Fire rating assemblies and acoustic specifications
  • Material specifications (lumber grades, sheathing, hardware)

How We Work With Your Team

From design development through construction administration.

01

Design Coordination

Share your architectural and structural drawings. Our team reviews for prefab feasibility and provides feedback on panel layouts, spans, and connection strategies.

02

BIM Model Development

We create a detailed 3D BIM model of all prefabricated components, coordinated with your architectural and structural models for clash detection.

03

Shop Drawing Review

Detailed shop drawings are submitted for your review and approval — including dimensions, hardware, fastener schedules, and installation sequences.

04

Fabrication & Delivery

Components are fabricated per approved shop drawings and delivered to your job site, ready for your crew to crane-set into position.
